AC In the News: pastry chef and instructor Bhakti Sheth on CBC Ottawa Morning

Algonquin College pastry chef and instructor Bhakti Sheth appeared on CBC’s Ottawa Morning show hosted by Robyn Bresnahan on May 7 to share about her culinary experiences. The visit came ahead of Flavours of Bharat, an event at Lansdowne on May 8 that Sheth will be participating in, alongside Bakery and Pastry Arts Program Coordinator Harsh Singh, and seven other guests.

In the clip, Sheth talks about teaching learners at the College, pursuing pastry arts, migrating to Canada and weaving her Indian culture and flavours into her work.

“I have India in my heart, and I always carry that anything that I make. One of the recipes I make is a fennel seed cucumber sorbet, so it’s always about getting Indian {flavour} in there,” Sheth shared.
