The School of Health and Community Studies at Algonquin College is dedicated to educating individuals who will work to build a just and humane society that respects human dignity, supports healthy, happy living, prevents illness, supports cultural literacy initiatives, and ensures the accuracy and availability of information.
Students learn from highly qualified faculty with current industry experience, in on-site state-of-the art facilities like the Massage Clinic, Dental Clinic, Simulation Health Lab, and Early Learning Centre. As part of the program, students have the opportunity to work in various placement settings within the community. Some programs also offer opportunities to participate in interprofessional learning experiences, fall and winter camping experiences, and local and international community service projects.
If you have previous post-secondary or work experience in the field, you may want to consider one of the unique graduate certificates, intensive programs, advanced standing or bridging programs in this school.
