On March 27th, 2011, Algonquin College hosted the first annual professional competition organized by the Canadian Culinary Federation (Ottawa chapter) sponsored by Maple Leaf Consumer Foods, which provided each of 18 contestants a fresh pork loin to work their magic in only 60 minutes.
