Imagine a career opportunity that not only enables you to experience a different lifestyle and culture during a one- to five-year adventure, but also allows you to teach a new generation of tomorrow’s trailblazers in a beautiful, safe and modern location.
Saudi Arabia’s Economic Cities Authority (ECA) has a mission “to create the world’s most innovative and competitive cities in which people can live, work, play and learn.” As part of this momentous initiative, Saudi Arabia is actually building an entire brand-new city—Jazan Economic City—dedicated in part to educating and training the human resources necessary to make the Kingdom a global centre for intellectual capital, as well as to work in other specially created Economic Cities. In fact, by 2015, Jazan Economic City is expected have placed more than 100,000 Saudis in rewarding careers.
Now you can be a part of this unprecedented undertaking through an academic partnership between Algonquin College and Cadre*, a sustainable and dynamic company with a mission to find, attract and train local Saudi Arabian talent, ensuring graduates become globally competitive and employable through innovative training and development solutions.
Cadre was created to establish and implement the Human Capital Development Strategies for four Economic Cities to be developed in Saudi Arabia. The first college established was Jazan Economic Cities Polytechnic College (JEC PT) near the Red Sea port city of Jazan, Saudi Arabia. Under Cadre’s direction, JEC PT is providing globally competitive, practical vocational and technical training in English, and Algonquin College is a key partner to help facilitate the delivery of training programs at JEC PT.
Faculty from North America will be hired by Cadre and relocated to Saudi Arabia for a one- to five-year period (length of contracts will vary depending on the position) to teach students using Algonquin College’s curriculum, as well as to offer specific expertise that complements the Cadre program.
*Please note that successful applicants for these positions will be hired by and compensated through Cadre, and not Algonquin College.
