Applied Research Workshop

Since the ASAP Interactive Workshop we held in the spring of 2012, we have received responses from local businesses and organizations for applied research projects. Some projects have already been approved, while others are in the planning process.

Examples of projects include creating a business plan and marketing strategy–including an interpretive learning program–for the Pikwakanagan First Nation Algonquin Way Cultural Centre; developing an e-commerce magazine with Vibe Marketing Plus; and performing an energy audit and developing an employee walking trail for KI Pembroke.

These projects will involve students from the following programs: Business, Outdoor Adventure Naturalist, Forestry Technician, and Environmental Technician. As the projects progress throughout the fall and winter terms, we will post results on the website… so stay tuned!
